Surgery is actually a surgical specialty performed by General Surgeons for a wide range of common disorders. Every individual practicing surgery has to begin with General procedure of performing surgeries. Many of them then move on with practicing in various fields of surgery depending on their choice of stream and area of interest to perform surgery on different parts of the Human body. Anesthesia is a medical procedure followed to induce immobility in human body or retract from any involuntary and voluntary actions produced, during a surgical procedure which can be painful to an extent that cannot be tolerated by human body. Various medications are delivered to a patient in order to retain his state of paralysis with lowered pain and no reflexes of the Autonomic Nervous system. The best grouping of drugs for any given patient and procedure is typically selected by an anesthetist, or another source such as an operating division practitioner, anesthetist practitioner, physician assistant or nurse anesthetist (depending on local practice), in consultation with the patient and the surgeon, dentist, or other practitioner executing the operative procedure.
