Giant Condyloma Acuminatum of Buschke and Lowenstein

Abstract

A 55-year-old man without HIV infection history, presented with neglected giant peri-anal condyloma acuminatum evolving for more than 10 years. Histologic findings revealed a condyloma acuminatum of Buschke and Lowenstein tumor without verrucous carcinoma. A patient was admitted for radiation therapy in our department. Clinical examination revealed a huge infected mass, cauliflower-like, infiltrating the left buttock and perineum.

Clinical examination revealed a huge infected mass, cauliflower-like, infiltrating the left buttock and perineum (Figure 1). 50 Gy in 25 fractions were prescribed using parallel opposed fields (AP-Posterior Anterior [PA]) and a 1 cm bolus. The second image shows the immediate response to irradiation therapy (Figure 2). Unfortunately, the patient was lost to follow-up.
