Unraveling Enzyme Regulation: Implications for Drug Discovery and Development
    Author(s): Ankush Verma*

Enzymes are essential regulators of biochemical pathways, playing a critical role in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Understanding the intricate mechanisms that govern enzyme regulation is crucial for advancing drug discovery and development. This review explores the current knowledge on enzyme regulation and its implications for drug discovery. The study begins by discussing the importance of enzyme regulation in controlling cellular processes. Enzymes are subject to multiple layers of regulation, including transcriptional, post-transcriptional, post-translational, and allosteric regulation. These regulatory mechanisms fine-tune enzyme activity in response to environmental cues and cellular demands, allowing for precise control of metabolic pathways. Next, the review delves into the impact of enzyme dysregulation in various diseases. Dysregulated enzyme activity can contribute to t.. View More»
