challenges and driving sustainable solutions. This article explores the
fundamental concepts and applications of biochemical engineering,

and the integration of bioinformatics and systems biology. The field's
applications range from pharmaceuticals to environmental protection,
bioenergy production, and the development of bioplastics and biobased
materials. Despite the remarkable potential, biochemical
