Dr. Rasime Kalkan

Dr. Rasime Kalkan was born in Nicosia, 20th June 1984. She completed her high school education in Guzelyurt Turk Maarif Koleji in Guzelyurt Cyprus. She graduated from Eskisehir Osmangazi University in 2005. In 2005, she joined the Eski?ehir Osmangazi University, GENTAM and she completed her Ph.D in Medical Genetics in Eski?ehir Osmangazi University. Her research was focused on investigating DNA repair, gene expression, methylation analaysis and chromosomal abnormalities in human cancers. During her Ph.D., she worked in departments of; prenatal-postnatal diagnosis, cancer cytogenetics, molecular cytogenetics and molecular genetics. After completing her Ph.D., in 2011 Dr. Kalkan joined the Medical Genetics Department, Faculty of Medicine at Near East University as a lecturer and postdoctoral fellow.
