Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to examine the relationships between self control skills and identity status and internet addiction among Israeli-Palestinian students in Israel. The sample include 550 students. The research hypotheses: There is a significant negative relationship between self controland internet addiction; There is a significant negative relationship between un achieved identity and internet addiction. The findings indicated: There is a significant negative relationship between self control and unachieved identity and internet addiction . The findings reveals that, in general: students with high self control skills and with achieved identity tended to exhibit less addiction The results of this study contribute to the theoretical literature concerned with examining the internet addiction among students in general, but particularly among Israeli –Palestinian students in Israel.
