Abstract:

Since China changed its economic model, the chinese pet market has been growing and creating a demand for specialists in various sectors of veterinary medicine.
The absence of specialists in veterinary pathology led the pet diagnostic centers and veterinary hospitals to seek such professionals outside of China through collaborative services and Veterinary Telemedicine.
Through a partnership between LPET Veterinary Diagnostics Center in China and VETPAT Veterinary Pathology Laboratory in Brazil, cases of cytopathology and histopathology are diagnosed by professionals in Brazil with the use of digitized slides and photos of macroscopic lesions.
The professionals of both countries maintain constant contact through tools of communication and exchange of messages and images, thus maintaining a diagnostic quality.
The use of these technological tools in veterinary telemedicine has expanded the boundaries for various professionals, ensuring quality of diagnosis and access to consultation with experts anywhere in the world.
