A Case Report and Study Review on Applying the Passot Technique in the Surgical Treatment of Severe Gynecomastia

Teenagers' gynecomastia is becoming a significant cosmetic and physiological problem, particularly in the context of obesity, abrupt weight reduction following surgery, and other endocrine disorders. Surgery may involve nipple-conserving subcutaneous mastectomies with liposuction, power- or ultrasound-assisted mastectomies, or nipple transpositions using a variety of methods. In order to address the persistent problem of unsightly scarring, which manifests as obvious scar hypertrophy and nipple necrosis, various methods of nipple transposition have been developed, ranging from free grafts to pedicled flaps.
