Introduction: Vaccination is one of the greatest achievements of public health. Few studies on the COVID-19 vaccine by sex/ gender are reported. Aims: We evaluated the gender differences in COVID-19 vaccine patients. Methods: We included in our study, 300 Covid-19 patients enrolled in COVID Department, Cardarelli Hospital, and Naples. The mean age was 67±10 years (46% men), and 83% were Covid-19 vaccine patients. Results: We don’t report important differences by gender in Covid-19 vaccine patients. However, in our study, we described that more frequent symptoms were represented by fever (45%) and dyspnoea (50%) in female compared to male subjects. In particular, we reported that in female the report lung CT is typical (32%) compared to 28% in male subjects; 60% of male had two major comorbidity compared to 40% in female subjects. No differences we reported in drugs therapy, and we reported death in 1% of female compared to 3% of male subjects. Discussion: Our data are preliminary and describe no significantly differences by gender in Covid-19 vaccine patients. Future research should be designed in a gender-sensitive way to present and, where possible analyses, data by sex/gender to promote high vaccine coverage.
